mob.e is an innovative wearable and app for knee hypermobility sufferers. Hypermobility affects 1 in 5 people and is a condition where the joints go beyond normal, healthy extension. As a result, this makes the sufferer more prone to long-term illness and injury.
mob.e aims to provide a solution through encouraging good habits (holding joints in a healthy position) and behaviour change (recognising when and why hyperextensions are happening and how they can be avoided).
The wearable delivers haptic feedback when the wearer hyperextends according to its degree of severity. The app collects this data and allows the user to 'tag' occurrences, seek advice and connect with other sufferers.
